Improvements to Beats#808

When I click to create beats, it currently creates a new beat for each scene, but then doesn’t name any of them. And when I’m in the beat view, I can’t see any sluglines or reference to what scene that beat is referring to, making manual renaming a very tedious process.

  • It’d be nice to have a two-column view so I can see which scene the beat is connected to from the beat view.
  • I also wish the beat names were auto-populated with the slug lines – or at least an option to do so.
  • I’d also like the option to resize the left column window so I could get a better view of those beats in the Script view.
  • And when I hover over the little beat cube icon, I’d like to get a pop-up preview of that beat. This could be especially useful in focus mode to get a reminder of that beat.

Also: When I’m in the script view editing a beat, I want to press TAB and jump to the next beat to edit. Shift+TAB takes me back a beat.

Also, more of a bug, but in the Beat and Script views, every time I click the arrow to see Beat details, the beat automatically scroll down to the bottom of the list. I’d like this to not happen. :)

Hey Nick! Could you contact support@arcstudio.com with a screen recording of what’s happening when you click the arrow to see the beat details?
