Switching alternate drafts into main drafts#448

Would love this option, if a draft is created that ends up becoming the main, this would be useful.

+1 – an alternate draft occasionally becomes the main draft. Say if the initial idea did not work.

I was just looking for this! It’s kind of a big deal because a rewrite sometimes becomes a page 1 rewrite and becomes the clear winner and it feels strange to have to keep scrolling down to an alternate draft to work on it

Is this likely coming any time soon? Other big issue is that mobile / tablet app doesn’t accommodate alternate drafts in the same way as desktop. So if you are now working on an alternate draft and it has become your primary draft, you cannot work on or even see via the mobile app. Big big request. Thanks

+1 - Example: I reopen Arcstudio and the default when opening returns to the Main Draft and if I don’t remember to switch to the Alt where I started a page 1 rewrite then I can accidentally be wasting a ton of time moving things around in the original before realizing I need to go and switch back and re-do work. Pain point for sure. (Alt / Bonus solution: Be able to port an Alt Draft into a whole new Script)

Come on Arc Studio. This is a handy feature. Even something like clicking the drop down menu and changing the status to “Main” or “Alternative draft” would be really handy.

+1, or even an option to “Default to Most Recent Version” option when opening Arc

+1 - the best option is to copy and paste all the text over to the main draft, but then beat changes don’t carry over. Very confusing when an alternate draft turns into the main draft but can’t be categorized as that by the software.
